# Covering the letter fee for customers

By default, customers pay for their own letter at checkout. On the Growth plan you can cover it instead, so your customers get their letter at no cost.

## Turn it on

#### Open Settings

Go to [Settings](https://brands.getburst.com/go/settings) and find **Who pays the letter fee**.

#### Choose who pays

* **Customers pay at checkout**: the default.
* **We cover it**: each letter sent is billed to your subscription.

> Covering the letter fee requires an active Growth subscription. If your subscription is paused or lapses, customers pay for their own letters again.

## When it makes sense

Covering the fee removes the last bit of friction for customers. It works well for high-ticket products and services, and as a perk for members or repeat clients.
